TEC Silo Systems

In 1992, TEC Engineering de México, set out to design and develop a modular, quick-installation, and cost effective Silo Systems. All our Silo Systems are equipped with internal static and dynamic pressure protection. A technical and observation method is used to assure that each Silo installation provides our customer with a damage-free bottle and, an optional pressurizing system eliminates all possibilities of product contamination. Our Silos are designed to maximize the Storage Capacity per square foot of floor space.

TEC offers two types of Silo Sytems: the TEC Silo Buffer System and the TEC Silo Storage System

In an inline blow moulding operation it is always important to ensure that the blow moulding machine is operating at its maximum efficiency. To achieve this, TEC Engineering, offers its TEC Silo Buffer System, designed to buffer the filling / palletizing line´s microstops. A typical Buffer System may store up to one hour of Blow Moulding production.

If the blow molder does not match the filling line speed, TEC Engineering, offers its TEC Silo Storage System, which accumulates bottles from the blow molding machine while the filling line is not operating. A Storage System may accumulate up to several days of Blow Molder production.

The TEC Silo System is divided in three sections:

Loading System: A Bulk Conveyor System to transport bottles from the Blow Molder or Labeler outfeed to the Silo Storage Area. The bottles are evenly distributed in each Silo to optimize Silo capacity.

Storage System: The TEC Engineering Silo System is composed by one or several modular Silos. Its capacity can be easily increased at a later date by adding modules to match future production requirements.

Unloading System: A Bulk Conveyor System receives the bottles from the Silo(s) and transports them toward the filling line unscrambler. The quantity of bottles removed from the Silo(s) is according to the filling line demand.

All TEC Silo Systems are automated for a "lights-off" operation.
